The Dove Creek Press is grateful for all of its readers and those contributors on the ground sharing our area's beauty and happenings.
This video and shared photos are courtesy of Karen Black, who stated, "Oh I DO want to float!"
Black states that according to one professional rafter she spoke with, the Lower Dolores River is running running at approximately 1,000 CFS today.
Black was invited to join in on the ride and that the boat captain was well-prepared with everything needed to do so, including a swamper, supplies, and the state required information/rider authorization.
According to Black, other seats are available and instructs that riders should show up ready at the boat launch at any time of day.
The latge group of riders were photographed by Black on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 5:00 MST (local time) at the Bradfield Bridge boat ramp.
She was pleased to see this underused area being used.
Thank you again for sharing, Karen!
