Ernest Richard "Ernie" Williams
Funeral services for Cortez resident Ernest Richard “Ernie” Williams will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Mancos Cowboy Church in Mancos, CO. Pastor Shane Prentice will officiate.
Ernie was born August 31, 1936 in Rock Springs, WY. He passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at his residence at the age of 84.
Surviving Ernie are his loving wife, Barbara Williams of Cortez, CO; his children, Ernest R. “Ernie” Williams (Teresa) of Dove Creek, CO, Jerry Williams (Nancy) of Thermoplis, WY, Barbie Williams of Fruita, CO, Harold E. Williams (Jennifer) of Blythewood, SC, Tiffanie Glover of Riverton, WY; his step-son, Perry D. Lewis (Victoria) of Mancos, CO; his sister-in-law, Joy Rasch (Brian) of Cortez, CO; 20 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Ernie was preceded in death by his parents; his step-sons, Delfred James Perry, and M. Joe Lewis; and his brother, Harold Leroy Williams with whom he served in Korea, and in the same camp for part of the tour.
