ACCIDENT AT THE DOVE CREEK POST OFFICE

On Friday, February 12th, at around 5:30 p.m. an accident occurred at the Dove Creek Post Office.

A vehicle crashed into the west wall of the building. According to the Dolores County Sheriff Don Wilson, the crash was deemed an accident due to medical issues.

There were no personnel working inside the post office at the time of the crash. The driver nor the passenger were injured.

Wilson confirmed that the driver was transported to the hospital for precautionary purposes.

There was significant damage to the post office.

Sheriff Wilson extends big thanks to Billy Spitzer, Chase Davis, Steve Davis, Tyler Ebberts, and Brett Martin for helping getting the Post Office secured and Andrea Holley for opening the main supply for supplies to secure the Post Office, as well as all of the diligent postal workers that helped in the cleanup, as well.
