Boebert Visits Dove Creek
U.S. Representative Lauren Boebert (CO-03) visited Dove Creek on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. The Dolores County Commissioners hosted a small luncheon with select elected officials for Boebert and her staff.
The discussions ranged from the Scenic and Wild designation of the Dolores River to COVID-19 response with many other topics and questions covered beyond those.
Boebert serves on the House of Representatives Natural Resources and Budget Committees.
The meeting lasted approximately an hour and a half.
After meeting with the elected officials, Boebert then visited the Dove Creek School. There Boebert gave a presentation to the students encouraging them to have a voice, stating that they were “The Future”.
She also had a Q & A with the students ranging in topics from Pelosi to guns, and the fence / wall built around the Capitol Building. Boebert also shared her upbringing describing how she rose from a poor upbringing to now being a Restaurant owner and Politician. This story was intended to encourage students to aim high.
The reaction from the students was positive and Boebert was well-received.
