The Dove Creek Conservation District (DCCD) is taking orders for seedling trees and shrubs for conservation plantings for 2020.

The order forms for the various species that are available through this years program are located at the USDA Service Center outside the NRCS office door.

Our tree and shrub sales program is an annual event providing seedlings in cooperation with the Colorado State Forest Service Nursery.

The DCCD also has several enhancement products for your plantings, including three, four and six foot rolls of weed barrier, six inch staples, animal guards and soil polymers to help your plants survive. These items are listed inside also and are available for purchase year round.

Seedlings can be ordered from now until the end of March 2020. Since seedling inventories are limited, it is a good idea to order early to insure the plants you want are available.

You can check inventory before ordering through the Colorado State Forest Service Nursery’s website:

Once you have completed an order form, send with payment to the Dove Creek Conservation District, PO Box 10 Dove Creek, CO 81324. Include 4.9% sales tax in the total amount.

Seedlings will be available for you to pick up at the NRCS office located at 408 N Main Street in Dove Creek (across from the courthouse) on April 16, 2020. We will contact you in early April to remind you about this.

If you have any questions about the trees sales, please contact Margaret Lestina, District Manager for the Dove Creek Conservation District at 970.676.8099.
