JEFFERY (Jeff) DONALD DRUMMOND
Jeffery Donald Drummond was born May 6, 1958, in Bay City Michigan to Donald and Alys (Alderton) Drummond. Jeff passed away in June of 2019 in Federal Heights, Colorado.
Jeff attended elementary and junior high school in Arvada, CO, until his family moved to Dove Creek, CO in 1973. Jeff graduated from Dolores County High School in 1976.
Jeff had several different jobs during his early years. He was an excellent fry-cook, pastry chef, and also studied to be a radiation monitor in Idaho.
Jeff’s true career was working with computers. He began with Dow Jones and advanced his experience and education. He traveled to many parts of the United States in conjunction with his work.
Jeff’s life-long companion and wife was Shirley Dirk. They lived in the Denver area for many years. Their main volunteer project was collecting items from businesses, delivering to the food center, and then delivering to those in need. Jeff continued this for many years after Shirley’s death.
Jeff was a loyal fan of the Broncos, like to deer hunt, go to the Casino, and take care of his cats.
Jeff was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, father, Donald, and brother, Jim.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Alys Drummond, brother, Douglas, sister, Linda (Mike) Coffey and many nieces and nephews.
In honoring his wishes, Jeff will be cremated and laid to rest in the Dove Creek Cemetery.
