Norman Dee Davis
Norman Dee Davis was born March 8, 1939, in Montrose, Colorado, to Trenton and Maybell Davis who lived in Ophir, Colorado. Norman passed away January 4, 2019 at San Juan Hospital in Monticello, Utah.
Norman’s family moved to the Dove Creek, Colorado, area when Norm was only two or three years old. At a very young age, he would go to the mines and work with his dad. Later in life, he did travel some distance from home to work in mines elsewhere.
He spent some years in the Phoenix, AZ, area, and ventured to the state of Washington at one point, but always returned to the Dove Creek area.
In 1996 he became a part of the Alvin and Alice Marsh home near Dove Creek.
Norman is survived by a sister, Mary A. Baker of Chickasha, Oklahoma; a daughter, Norma Denise Hughes of Glendale, Arizona; three grandchildren, Dawn Marie Duhigg, Cheryl Ann Blood, and Joshua Shane Duhigg, all of Glendale, Arizona, and six great grandchildren.
Norman will be missed, especially by the Marsh family and those in the Community Health Center who have kept tabs on his medical condition regularly for the last several years.
The Senior Center delivered quite a few meals to him in the past as well as provided transportation, and probably the bank will miss having him call regularly to check on his account balance (smile).
Thanks to everyone who helped.
A small memorial will be held January 19, 2:30 p.m. at the Marsh residence, 4030 Rd. G, Dove Creek, CO.
